Elizabeth Kaplan, Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Clinical Supervisor
Elizabeth Kaplan
Therapy with me is: Authentic and approachable. I create a space that feels warm, supportive and
collaborative.
Outside of the therapy room: I am spending time with my two boys, baking and exercising.
I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and families navigating life transitions,
social stressors, anxiety, depression, and challenges within relationships and
friendships. I understand that growing up and moving through different stages of life can
feel overwhelming at times, especially when balancing school, family dynamics,
friendships, and personal expectations.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. I believe therapy should feel
like a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I take
time to truly get to know each client because building a strong therapeutic relationship is
an important part of meaningful growth and healing.
Together, we work on developing practical coping skills, building self-esteem, and
increasing confidence in managing day-to-day stressors and emotions. I strive to help
clients better understand themselves while feeling supported, empowered, and capable
of navigating life’s challenges.
I incorporate evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual’s needs, including
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational
Interviewing, and trauma-informed therapy. My goal is to help clients feel heard,
understood, and supported as they work toward their personal therapeutic goals.

Elizabeth’s Approach
I work with children, adolescents, young adults and families who are experiencing an array of life transitions, social stressors, anxiety, depression and conflicts in relationships and friendships.
It can be challenging for children as they enter adolescence and experience new life situations. I work with my clients to provide effective and productive coping skills that they can sue when navigating their busy day to day lives. My mission is to help clients reach their therapeutic goals.
I practice from a strengths-based approach, helping my client’s self-esteem and coping skills. I take time to get to know my clients as I feel developing a strong rapport is crucial for my clients and to build a positive therapeutic alliance. I have training in a variety of therapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed Therapy.
